Environmentally Friendly FRP

FormaShape's™ Environmental Management System:

ISO 9001: What is it?
  • An Environmental Management System (EMS) framework that is globally recognized
  • A standard specifying a process for controlling and improving a company’s environmental performance
  • Requires that the organization commit itself to regulatory compliance and that it measures compliance on a periodic basis
ISO 9001: Benefits?
  • Provides cost savings through the reduction of waste and more efficient use of natural resources (water, gas and fossil fuels).
  • Tightens production processes, yielding higher efficiency
  • Improves internal communications and morale - often leading to sound environmental solutions suggested by staff
The photos above are some examples of FormaShape's ™ efforts to "do it right," not just let waste go to landfill or evaporate. "Doing it right" is a lesson learned from Lean manufacturing – clean up your waste when you make it (if you have to make it). It's more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly to spend the time and money to deal with waste when it is created. FormaShape™ is also testing acetone replacement products which could eliminate a hazardous solvent from our processes.
